The summer evening concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is the largest annual classical open-air concert in the world. It is performed in the mysterious Baroque Park of schlumbren palace in Vienna. The concert was held on May 31, 2018, and this year’s theme is “Italian night”. The concert was broadcast on television and radio in more than 60 countries and reached millions of viewers. The evening repertoire is a very popular Orchestra group, including the overture of William Tell, the march of the Opera Aida, the interlude from cavalieria latiana, and the famous soprano VISSI d’amar from Tosca. Valerie gegyev is back to host the summer night concert, which star soprano Anna natbecko joined, and is expected to become one of the most popular concerts of the year
Valerie djiev presented his third summer evening concert with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018. The concert also marks the 150th birthday of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. He has been working with the orchestra since his debut in 1997. This year, they started from “Italy” and spread across Europe. Their works are mainly composed by Italian composers, while works created by non Italian musicians with Italian theme are added. The central role of the Vienna National Opera House and its Orchestra (members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra) have also played Italian opera.
