《Soul》剧情设定在两个不同世界里，“现实的纽约”和“‘生之来处’的飘渺宇宙”，这便需要两种风格的音乐来辅助塑造和定义每个世界。全球著名并入围格莱美提名的音乐人Jon Batiste为电影原创爵士乐担纲作曲与编曲；奥斯卡奖得主，入列摇滚名人堂，来自九寸钉乐队（Nine Inch Nails）的Trent Reznor和Atticus Ross（曾参与《社交网络》原声乐）为《Soul》创作配乐，贯穿于真实与灵魂的世界。
《Soul》原声带包含42首配乐及爵士歌曲，其中包括了Jon Batiste翻唱自Curtis Mayfield的经典曲目《It’s All Right》。
